Biography[]
Season 1[]
Olivia is part of the Mossbacher family, which includes her parents, Mark and Nicole, and her brother, Quinn. The family arrives at the White Lotus resort on Maui for a vacation.
Olivia and her best friend, Paula, lounge by the pool and make snide remarks about Rachel, a listicle writer. Their privileged backgrounds and attitudes towards others underscore the class dynamics within the resort.
Olivia's curiosity about Paula's interactions with hotel employee Kai adds complexity to their friendship. She becomes increasingly suspicious of Paula's actions when she sneaks out at night. Olivia witnesses Paula and Kai having sex after she sneaks out one night.
The series also portrays Olivia's internal conflict, as she grapples with her own privilege and the consequences of her actions. Olivia and Paula have a tense moment at the end of the series when Olivia realizes that Paula was involved in the robbery of her mom's jewelry in their hotel room.
