"Full-Moon Party" is the fifth episode of the third season of The White Lotus. It is the eighteenth episode of the series overall. It was released on March 16, 2025 on HBO and HBO Max.
Synopsis[]
"Things get wild when Chloe convinces Saxon, Lochlan, and Chelsea to keep the yacht party going, while Laurie, Jaclyn, and Kate head to a club with Valentin and his friends. Elsewhere, Piper attempts to explain her post-grad plans to a skeptical Victoria and a checked-out Tim, Belinda shares her suspicions about a hotel guest, and Rick visits an old friend in Bangkok." ― Official site
Plot Summary[]
On the yacht en route to a full moon rave, Saxon encourages Lochlan to be more confident. Meanwhile, Chloe confides in Chelsea that she is more interested in Lochlan than Saxon and reflects on the distance that has developed in her relationship with Greg. Chelsea expresses loyalty to Rick, while Chloe shares a more cynical view of romance.
Saxon attempts to initiate a connection with Chelsea and urges Lochlan to pursue Chloe. As the party begins, Lochlan consumes multiple drinks and accepts a party drug from Chloe. Saxon initially declines but eventually takes one as well. Chelsea, unable to reach Rick, decides to let loose and enjoy the night.
At the rave, the group dances among fire performers and glowing lights. Chloe suggests a potential group encounter involving herself, Chelsea, Saxon, and Lochlan. The group continues partying on the yacht, taking shots and dancing. Chloe and Chelsea kiss and then encourage Saxon and Lochlan to kiss as well. What begins as a dare results in a longer kiss between the brothers, after which Saxon appears confused.
Elsewhere, Jaclyn, Kate, and Laurie attend a party at a beach club with Valentin and his associates, Aleksei and Vlad. The group dances and drinks together. When a younger woman confronts Aleksei, tensions rise, prompting the women to leave the club but invite the men to their villa. At the villa, the party continues with drinking and swimming. Laurie removes her top, and Vlad and Aleksei partially undress. The mood turns serious as the group shares personal stories. Before leaving, Aleksei invites the women to a Muay Thai fight. That night, Jaclyn invites Valentin to her room for some alone time.
Belinda remains concerned about what she has learned about Greg and is further unsettled when Fabian mentions that a guest has been asking about her. She shares her concerns with Pornchai, who reassures her and investigates a noise in her room, discovering it was caused by a lizard. He agrees to stay with her to provide comfort, and they end up sleeping together.
Elsewhere, Piper informs her parents of her plan to spend a year in Thailand. Victoria reacts strongly, expressing concerns about the nature of Piper's plans and making accusations based on her assumptions about the monastery. She insists on visiting the monk with Timothy the next day.
In Bangkok, Rick reconnects with an old friend, Frank, who shares personal experiences about his past and his path to sobriety. Frank gives Rick a black leather bag and agrees to be available the next night as a favor. Later, Rick opens the bag to reveal a gun.
At the hotel, Gaitok realizes his firearm is missing and reviews surveillance footage, discovering that Timothy took it. He confronts Timothy, who denies any knowledge. That night, after Victoria goes to bed, Timothy writes a note and holds the gun to his head but stops when Victoria checks on him. He tells her he is stressed and prepares to go to bed, then quietly prays for guidance.
