"Arrivederci" is the seventh and final episode of the second season of The White Lotus. It is the thirteenth episode of the series overall. It was released on December 11, 2022 on HBO and HBO Max. It was written and directed by Mike White.
Premise[]
Hoping to help Lucia, Albie asks Dominic for a karmic payment. With Portia still unreachable, Tanya grows increasingly wary of Quentin’s motives. Consumed with doubts, Ethan confronts Cam… and gets unexpected advice from Daphne. After an eventful night, Valentina gives Mia a chance.
Plot Summary[]
Harper confesses to Ethan that Cameron kissed her. In a fit of anger, Ethan attacks Cameron and the situation escalates to the point where Cameron is almost drowned, but a bystander intervenes just in time. Ethan shares his suspicions with Daphne, who advises him to do whatever makes him feel better. She then suggests they take a walk to a nearby island, implying the possibility of intimacy. Ethan's spirits lift, and later he reconnects with Harper, rekindling the passion in their relationship.
Albie manages to convince Dominic to send €50,000 to Lucia, aiming to rescue her from Alessio. In return, Albie offers his assistance in repairing Dominic's troubled marriage. However, Lucia quietly leaves Albie's side, celebrating the success of her scheme with Mia and Alessio, who was in on the scam all along.
Meanwhile, Valentina listens to Isabella's request and restores Rocco to his position at reception. Mia secures a new role as the resort's piano player, which angers Giuseppe.
Portia wakes up to find her phone missing. She takes Jack's phone and contacts Tanya, sensing something is amiss. Tanya's mind races as she suspects that Greg might have conspired with Quentin and others to harm her, driven by a desire to inherit her wealth. Fueled by panic and paranoia, Tanya stumbles upon unsettling items in Niccoló's bag—duct tape, rope, and a gun. In a moment of desperation, she takes Niccoló's gun and fatally shoots Niccoló, Quentin, and Didier.
Attempting to escape on a dinghy boat, Tanya slips, hits her head, and drowns. Her body washes up on the shore the next day, discovered by Daphne. Subsequently, the other bodies on the yacht are found.
Portia confronts Jack about his relationship with Quentin, resulting in his heated departure. He eventually drops her off near the airport and warns her not to return to the White Lotus for safety reasons. At the airport, Albie and Portia find each other once again, reuniting after the tumultuous events.
