"Abductions" is the sixth episode of the second season of The White Lotus. It is the twelfth episode of the series overall. It was released on December 4, 2022 on HBO and HBO Max. It was written and directed by Mike White.
Synopsis[]
After admitting their marriage needs work, Ethan grows suspicious of Harper and Cam. As they look forward to a lavish party at Quentin’s Palermo estate, Tanya gives Portia an opaque warning about Jack. Meanwhile, the Di Grassos head out in search of distant Sicilian relatives, but Dominic bristles when Albie invites Lucia along as their translator.
Plot Summary[]
Ethan Spiller and Harper have an open conversation about how they're not attracted to each other anymore. Harper asks Ethan if he still finds her desirable. Later, when Ethan sees Harper interacting with Cameron at the beach, he starts to feel suspicious that Harper might be cheating on him with Cameron.
The Di Grassos venture out to try and meet their supposed blood relatives. Albie brings Lucia along to help translate, but Alessio follows them and seems to threaten Lucia. Lucia eventually agrees to go with Alessio despite the family's objections as they are concerned for her safety.
When they arrive at their ancestral village, they find another Di Grasso family there and pay an unexpected visit. However, the family members, who are three generations of women, react angrily and reject them. Bert, one of the Di Grassos, feels disappointed as he had hoped for a happier family reunion. That night, Lucia returns to the hotel and tells Albie that she can only stop being with Alessio once she repays a debt she owes him.
Meanwhile has her first romantic encounter with Mia. Isabella, another hotel employee, reveals her engagement to Rocco, a fellow employee, whom Valentina had assigned to the beach club to get closer to Isabella herself.
Tanya drops hints to Portia that Jack might not truly be Quentin's nephew. Quentin arranges for Tanya to meet his cocaine dealer, Niccoló. Before they have intimate relations, Tanya notices a photo of Quentin with another man, possibly Greg, from when they were younger.
A drunk Jack confides in Portia, sharing that Quentin and his friends have spent all their money on luxuries. He hints that Quentin saved him from a tough situation in exchange for a questionable favor.
